So we are Generation X... "The Echo Boom"

Jan 30, 2009 14:11

So... that's what we were talking about in AP Earth and Environmental Science today... its depressing. We (my generation) was basically the result of people having too many babies, and then they had kids in a *mini* boom because there were so many of them, but fewer of us because of the discovery of birth control. Don't get me wrong, birth control is amazing. You can have sex minus the babies. But honestly, when it's put so coldly... there are less of us in our generation but too many of us because we didn't know... it's just cold. as Alle Put it: Science takes all morals and warmth out of things. And... Idk... i guess, as much as I like the working with numbers part of statistics, it's cold work. We're all just numbers aren't we? or... that's how the science world sees it...

So the Echo Boom Means birth control... that's what I got out of today's class.

On a lighter note, we were *passing a calculator STD* in stats today lol okay, to explain now, we were supposed to put this program on our calculators and then send it to the other calculators in the class room with the cord-thingy... Then Huni busts out with *Mr. Northrup, this is how they spread AIDS* So we were spreading calculator STDs. and yes, i am a nerd. Totally and completely (><) oh well.

Then Spanish... nothing happens in Spanish honestly. Señora Kelley is not the most exciting woman on the planet... nor is she very random. She's just all business. So while I enjoy the class, she's a hard ass and the only fun part is the food and the music.

Thus my day. FUN FUN.
