I also apparently didn't read properly because it did say that the harpies had smooth faces eventhough they still seemed they had aged beyond any other living thing. I liked how they were even older than the witches.

If the God-entities will ever hang around in the comic with Erni and Zach in it, Amaterasu (sungoddess) will be a ditzy stupid iconic girl and her brothers (moongod, windgod) the ones doing all the actual work. I bet that's how it really goes, too what with her going to angst in a cave and all lol. Susano, the windgod, is said to be the ancestor of tengu 8> It's pretty awesome how their parents got into a fight, retreated to be the Father of Life and Mother of Death and then the dude gave manbirth to Amaterasu and her brothers. COOOOL.
Then again if I'm just saying bullshit here then please tell so, I only read one book about the mythology. :D;
