Argh, Decisions

So, am at the end of the game for my second agent.

And have logged out with his final boss weakened on the floor, shivering and staring up at him while looking kind of sad.

I just can't figure out what to do. *sigh*

I figure that Quix is remarkably sympathetic towards the Star Cabal. The Jedi and Sith seem pretty bad. The Star Cabal seems kind of cool, other than the fact that they keep trying to kill him. (But everyone tries to kill him, so I don't think he holds that against them much.) And the Star Cabal does serve a useful function, is quite old, etc.  So I really don't want to destroy it.  In a first playthrough, I'd probably do what I'm kind of inclined to do.  (Which is kiss Hunter and keep the codex.)

But I'm not sure. Like, I've already seen the ending where I keep the codex. So am curious as to what happens if I hand it over to Ardun Kothe. Plus, I'm not really sure that giving Kothe the codex would be any better or worse than would be keeping it. (Seeing as intelligence has vowed to hunt down all of the Star Cabal - which I'm fairly sure Quix doesn't actually want.) And while I know that bad things happen to Minister if I don't keep it/hand it to him, IDK. I mean, maybe it's better with the SIS. I wish I could ask more questions and just sit down and figure out what was going to happen with each outcome...

I'm wondering how long I can leave Quix sitting there, pondering his decisions. (Hilariously, there's part of me wondering why Hunter doesn't just run off, seeing as Quix is probably staring into space, very distractedly, and would be pretty easy to escape from if Hunter had half a mind to do it.)

Also, second playthrough has brought up a lot of questions...which are kind of bugging me.  I suspect there's more going on than my poor agent is privy to.  (Well, duh, that's the entire premise of the game. But still...)
