This is such a great chapter. It's very action packed and everything is coming to a head. Hoshi seeing Gaeta with Zac Adama's personality in him had to nearly kill him. Lee seeing and Adama not seeing what it did really rang true to their personalties. Both men have blind spots, but Bill really never understood how much what he does impacts his crew. An odd blind spot for a commander to have, but a very real one.
Hoshi and Starbuck both cracking this chapter made such sense.
The glimpses of Gaeta, just killed me. The ghost in the body coming back to haunt them.
Thanks! Yeah, Hoshi wasn't happy with me this chapter, and neither was Lee. (This is where I had to shut Lee up and not let him steal all of Kara's lines.)
I figured Tom would be unrepentant about killing the Quorum. I wouldn't say he's proud of it, but he definitely wouldn't apologize. not his style.
And yeah- I thought you might be :) Although I adore Gaeta/Hoshi and build it up to be a relationship that lasts in my mind, Felix has been close to Dee for longer. She's deeper in his soul than Louis has had time to get, and the fact that she's gone leaves scars that the imprinting can't take away. Plus, I liked making the deep connections that the Actives respond to non-romantic ones :)
"You frak me over, and you will pay. Even if I'm dead, I will find a way to sic a Two on you."
I don't have much of an opinion on Hoshi, but I really like this version of him, particularly when he interacted with Zarek. And this line is made of so much win. It's like Kara's "hit a cripple" in reverse.
The opening scene with Playa was very compelling to me because it gave me flashbacks to my days as a reporter. ;) I like how you show her carefully, scrupulously building a story, and made realistic how she was able to get to talk to some people and not to others. I was amazed she got in to see Adelle though, and then that Adelle talked to her. ;)
The Zak Adama stuff in this chapter just about broke me, especially when Gaeta's mind broke through here and there. When he found out that Dee was dead, I was all, "WOMAN ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL ME OR WHAT???" :P
But seriously, the whole Zak stuff was just absolutely gripping. It actually made more of an impression on me than when Dollhouse brought back dead people, because in this case, I actually knew the characters in question. And as much as I abhorred what he was doing, Adama's decisions about Zak rang totally true for me. He's so ruled by his emotions, despite all his show of stoicism, that I know he would never be able to give up the

I'm glad you found Playa realistic. I'm deliberately not commenting any more on that one ;) And I'm so glad you enjoyed the Zak stuff.
But Kara's did. Because at this point, she's basically an imprint herself.
That's actually why I thought Kara would be so against it. Kara feels so out of her skin in season 4, and so... frustrated by not knowing what she is and not understanding what's wrong. She's not sympathetic to Gaeta (something she is VERY adamant about), but she feels wrong through so much of Season 4 I could see her feeling very angry that Adama is doing that to someone else. she's kind of where Athena is- she's all for shooting Felix, but this putting another soul into his body is bugging the hell out of her. And making it Zak, someone that she loved very much... it's like a profaning of Zak, as well as something that goes against what she blieves.
I was kind of surprised that Laura backed off Adelle's refusal to follow orders.Honestly? I couldn't come up with any other way to resolve that

Hmmm. Maybe they're all the people who care about anything, period.
"I killed the entire Quorum," Tom said harshly. "Did you think that was a joke?"
.....shit, son!
Okay, I'm sure you already knew that I'd be TICKLED that Dee is what first causes Felix to break through. So :-D :-D
"This is my father and Roslin. What makes you think I can do anything about it at all?"
*SIGH*
GO HOSHI!!! *\o/*
