MadTv...which okay, is generally crude and sometimes off putting and I only watch it if there is seriously nothing else on but for this at least they were right on the money.

Do the Apple PR/name development people not know how Google works? Were they too busy everyday in the years  leading up to the product release? Did they not even TRY to see if there would be any epic failing happening with their crappy crappy choice of name?

This sketch is like 3 years old! So they obviously never checked YT. Someone needs to be fired. Or at least get a timeout for not fact checking properly. Maybe they could stick a sign to Phil (because that's what I have decided to call the namer of the Ipad) that reads - 'iFail. Will use Google and marketing research next time.'

On an entirely different note, I find the iPad scary and fascinating at the same time....ooh not a fan of no buttons...but its so shiny and touch screen! I am one of those people who still gets that childish impulse to mess with those touch-screen map things in shopping centers every time I walk past one.

Hmm...Possible name suggestions for V2...because it's Apple (and while I love them and their toys) I'm not blind to their process - V1 comes out everyone gets with the grabby, disappointment follows shortly after, the jaded get righteous and the fangirls and boys get a little sad and ranty. Then comes stage 2 (V2 or hell V1.05- just to stretch it out) the product is improved, possibly cheaper, major flaws are removed or rejigged and everyone who wasn't in the first wave of grabby hits the stores and taunts the impulsive V1 buyers with their new better shiny. Then V3 and onwards.... I get it, good things come to those who wait. It makes good business sense too. So names...

-itravel?
-imuse?
-itab?
-i...can't think of anything better, not really. And that sucks. Maybe I was too hard on ol' Phil. Just maybe.
