Breeze enters by the window, every word echoes in the walls. Jeanette keeps reading, her eyes focused on the book. She tries not to cry in front of her daughter as she remembers a certain letter she received the night before abandoning the Island.
If you’re reading this message, that means I couldn’t change the past. It’s your job to make her believe she made that place up. Her life depends on you now: don’t bring her back.
“Mum, what happened to Susan?” - little Charlotte asks, thinking of a magical land beyond her blur memories.
“She grew up and forgot about Narnia” - she mutters.
