(Echoes of laughs in her ears, familiar symbols written in the lifeless beach, her happiness lost somewhere across the sad ocean)
Black, young eyes meet bright blue ones; years and experience marked on his face, surprise on her own.
A name is given (Frank) by old lips, his gray hair bringing forgotten memories along with his voice.
“Who are you?” - she asks, lullabies surging from her mind, toy planes flying across the heart of an orphan (when she wasn’t alone)
“You look exactly like her”
It’s summer again - she remembers.
