2011 End of Year Fic Meme

Jan 01, 2012 18:07

Ok, I wasn't going to do this because my list of fic from the year is pretty sad. But, certain people (they know who they are) encouraged me to do this so here it is. I've modified it because with so few fic, this would be pretty boring if you read the same thing over and over again.

Total stories written since Jan 1, 2011:

Published Fic: 9 (5 drabbles, 4 full length fic including 1 in a new fandom.)
Unpublished fic: 5 (2 Star Trek, 1 Leverage, 1 Numb3rs, and 1 Supernatural... all full length.)

Favorite (and to me, the best) of the bunch:

Final Fantasy. Numb3rs. Ian/Nikki. Hard R. Four fantasies Ian has about Nikki and one he doesn't.

Most under-appreciated by the universe:

Considering that it only received 2 comments, I'm going to say my favorite fic of the year is the most under appreciated. Final Fantasy. Numb3rs. Ian/Nikki. Hard R.

Most fun to write:

Animal I Become. Numb3rs. David/Liz. R. She knows his secret. This was the most fun to write because it made me think outside my normal box. This was written for the werewolf vs. vampire n3teamchallenge, a challenge I never would have participated in until this past year. Granted, there wasn't a real werewolf but the fact I had to take everything I know about werewolves and make analogies for the situation at hand made it fun to write.

Sexiest fic:

All That Glitters. Numb3rs. David/Liz. R. She reminds him of Christmas.

Holy crap, that's wrong, even for you:

This question will always be my most boring, I'm afraid. Anyone who knows me knows I'm more of a het, schmoop, fluff, can't stand whump, too much angst, character death kind of writer. That doesn't leave a lot of room for "HOLY CRAP! That's wrong, even for you!" unless of course it's using too much fluff. LOL.

Biggest disappointment:

Not writing more in general.

Biggest surprise:

Writing in 2 new fandoms, Leverage and Supernatural.

Story I want remembered:

Final Fantasy. Numb3rs. Ian/Nikki. Hard R. Mostly because I'm pretty proud of this fic. I didn't have to struggle with it too much when I'd only written 2 fic before this in the year. I was able to create 5 seemingly alternate universes and do it in less than 2500 words. It's sexy, it was fun to write, and I really lost myself to it. There's nothing I don't love about this fic (except I wish more people would have read it, but that's me being selfish.)

Pairing/Genre/Fandom you wouldn’t have predicted in January, 2011:

Watching, writing and actually posting Supernatural. Never in a million years.
