Tuesday- weird....

Today I helped foil a robbery. I was turning out of our cul-de-sac onto the street which runs along the West side of our beautiful Longford Park when I saw a guy clutching a brown messenger bag and running away from a car that was parked across from the park. At the same time I see, across the park, a man with his dog start to run in our direction. I put two and two together and begin to follow the man who is running away with what I presume is the other man's belongings. He runs across the main road and turns down one of the side streets and still I follow him. He keeps running and looking back and me and after about a block he looks back once more before dropping the bag on the sidewalk and running into a house. I stayed there until the owner of the bag drove up and I flagged him down, pointed out his bag and told him which house I saw the man run into. Then I went to work.

Nothing that substantial, but still out of my normal routine for sure. I know it's stupid, but I'm very glad that this morning when I was given the option to delay my commute a few minutes and see if I could follow the man (It turned out better than I hoped, I thought at best I'd be giving a description and a direction of travel) or to continue on my merry way because it wasn't my business I chose to do what I did.
