My brother-in-law was tee-boned by another vehicle (don't know what kind yet) and went flying through the air 40 feet after the initial impact. Did I mention that he was on a motorcycle? Those of you who read this probably remember the last motorcycle versus car accident I helped at and can likely imagine my first thoughts. All I could think of was this other guy last year with brains leaking out of his nose. My brother-in-law, though, was wearing ALL of the safety gear and in already back home after a trip to the ER for x-rays and a few stitches on his elbow.  He's in lots of pain and the bike is likely a total loss, but we are all so lucky. Especially my sister who is being induced this Tuesday ... it will be their second little boy.

Spent most of today cleaning house (though you couldn't tell it by the common areas of the house) and am pretty beat. I'm off to read some Scripture and then some fanfic. Thinking of you all. Have a great weekend!

EDIT: After talking with my sister, it seems that my BIL tee-boned an older model Cadillac. Apparently, an older guy was driving and pulled out in front of him. The bike's front wheel was caught in the rear wheel well of the car and sucked part of the bike under while flinging BIL through the air. Hooray for BIG BANDAIDS.
