watercolour: innocence reflected

Jun 30, 2007 07:33

I am fascinated and very excited by those of you who took the time to compose such well thought responses to my question. In fact, I'm wondering if I will be able to come up with something quite as good. I'm sorry I have not yet responded, but I'm waiting for a few others to weigh in on the topic, too.

In the meantime, I took some time away from my usually spammy tendencies in order to attempt a painting. I am well pleased with the results, enough that I am even considering offering it as a print on deviantart. I feel kind of silly doing it, though, because this is my first really involved watercolor project. I think I am still in love with my own work and so I'm waiting a week before deciding.

On to the details: I love the picture that I referenced for this painting. Surrounded by shadows, my son seems to glow - untouched, unconcerned with how bright he is in the midst of his world.  *sigh* I have cute kids.
