I am a little late, but happy new year!
This year, my main objective is to Finish What I Have Started. I've started many a thing in the past few years, but I am going to try my best to complete as much as I can. From answering emails to updating incomplete website pages, packing half-filled boxes and whatever else I'm forgetting; I am going to finish anything I've ever started so that next year will truly be starting fresh. And you know what's the strangest part? I'm actually looking forward to this. I am the type who always stalls things 'til the last moment, and starts something only to later abandon it. But I am really excited about finishing these old projects and closing chapters. I can feel it in my blood. This is the year where I get thing done.
I've already finished a few small things, like updating some old sites, emptying out my main inbox folder, and adding the last of the DH Wallpaper submissions to the site. I'm going to start working through the DH Fanart submissions next (215 emails last I checked), which is going to take forever a while but whatever. If I finish at least one thing every day it'll really add up in the long run. So yeah.
As for my birthday, it was really nice and laid back. Went to a movie and Borders -- got 2 Detective Conan manga, a new FMA calendar, and a Snow Patrol cd. Gift-wise I got gift cards/money, a long-sleeved t-shirt, and a black 30GB iPod video. ^_^ It's great to have a portable music player again, especially one that doesn't take 10 hours just to load 25 songs, and then deletes 'em all when I try to add another 5. *Yeah, I'm glaring at YOU, Rio Nitrus. Feel my sledge-hammer wrath!* Although the iPod is an insane fingerprint magnet, and a faint audio static did suddenly appear on Day 2. Strangely though the static goes away when the volume is off, but as long as the volume is above mute the static is there whether a song is playing or not. I don't know if it's the iPod or the ear buds, and I haven't decided if I should send it back for another one. I can't hear the static during normal/loud songs, or when there are noticeable environment sounds (even my laptop's hum blocks it out). But it really stands out when listening to quiet/instrumental songs at night, which is something that I really like to do. So.... I don't know. I guess I'll wait and see if anything else develops. -_-;
