God, Oklahoma sucks.
No, really. I thought Iowa was bad. But you could feel it when you crossed over the Kansas border. It's like you traveled into a vortex of, well... suck. I swear, if I see another billboard advertising something as Cherokee-made, I'm going to scream. Leather, knives, and moccasins, I could understand why you would want to buy authentic, native-made goods. But, really... pies? And cacti? What the hell?
It's hotter than hell here. Well, I guess it's hot everywhere, but... Well, I guess I should get used to it... you know, going to college in Arizona and all. I thought about putting this post up last night, while I was having trouble sleeping (in fact, this post was probably what kept me awake), but I just couldn't get to the computer. I guess, when there's only one computer in this town (I'm not sure if that's true, but it sure as hell feels like it), it's kinda popular.
I don't think I'll be complaining about how bad Webster City is, that's for sure. At least, not until I go back.
Today's road trip: 12 more hours, 650 ish more miles, Sayre, OK to Holbrook, AZ. I'll hopefully see you there.
