there's been so much running around in my head lately; so much that it could actually qualify for a legitimate update, unlike the bull i've been updating with lately. this could end up touching upon religion though, so if you don't want to read anything of that sort, skip over and goodbye ( Read more... )

not epic length compared to my entries.
You can take this or leave it, but I suggest looking at it as a faith rather than religion. Religion typically relates to structure and rules and tradition within a certain group. I don't know, you might want to look into that aspect of things. Also, I understand the "why would God do this?" question. It's like, I'll be sitting in bed, realizing I have no one to go to, my life is a mess, and so on... then it pops back into mind that God is there AT ALL TIMES. It's not the same as human companionship, but it's comforting to know you really aren't alone. :/

I used to feel the same..."why would He do this if he is so mighty and all that?" but the truth is...God gave us something called FREE WILL. He gave us the choice to accept Him or reject Him. And we reject Him when we believe He would cause/let things that are bad happen. These bad things are not His work. But even when we turn from God, He never turns from us. I can't go too much further without getting Christian on you, but believe me...the bad in our lives is not because of God. He is the light we refuse to see. And He is always shining, even when we turn our heads.

I agree with Emily about considering it faith, though. And faith is that big step. Whether you want to follow a set religion or not is up to you. But I think ultimately, I'd rather see a world full of faith than worrying about everyone following a religion.

i agree; religion only makes things messy.
