Dashboard Confessional Swiss Army Romance Concert

Jan 18, 2011 03:01

I saw Dashboard Confessional on December 18th at Lincoln Hall in Chicago, IL. I've been listening to them for a while and they're one of the bands that really got me in to music, but this was my first time seeing them live.

This was their Swiss Army Romance 10 Year Anniversary Tour which celebrated the anniversary of their album "Swiss Army Romance". Dashboard Confessional is usually a full band, but this tour was just the lead singer, Chris Carrabba. Chris played the "Swiss Army Romance" album in full. I thought it was really neat to hear an album live from start to finish. I love that album and I think it sounds even better live. I especially liked hearing "Turpentine Chaser" and "Screaming Infidelities".

After he played "Swiss Army Romance", Chris took requests from the audience and did random songs. Some highlights for me were "The Brilliant Dance" and "So Impossible". He played a pretty long set. I really enjoyed the concert and definitely recommend seeing Dashboard Confessional if you get the chance.

Here's some random songs by Dashboard Confessional:

Screaming Infidelities
The Places You Have Come to Fear the Most
Vindicated (Live)
A Year in the Past, Forever in the Future (Grade cover)
Hands Down
Heaven Here
So Long, So Long
