older pictures later, i guess?

i'm learnin', guys. i'm learnin'.
but i feel i've made "great strides."
at least, since that picture i drew of jesus of suburbia at the wayyyy beginning of seventh grade, with the toilet that was like up to the guy's ankles, and the god-awful hand.
that was kinda the first picture i ever took kinda seriously.

are art classes in high school any good? i'm taking studio art 1 next year; i kinda need lessons, because i've pretty much learned everything i know from myself or from observing van gogh and stuff. and guys, i actually watch those videos they show in art if there's a sub. so i learn some from that.

these pictures are different when you see them in real life. i won't say better, just very different. because i don't have a scanner that works, i used a crappy camera to take these pictures. maybe i'll retake them with the powershot we just got. god, i love that thing.

guys, i have an idea.
just kinda breathe out, and whatever's going wrong in your life, make it a happy thing.
like if someone's mad at you, think of all the excellent times you had with that person, or something. all the kodak moments, just bright faces and laughter, pure bliss, nothing sad.
then pretend there's no sound, like a movie.
then listen to first day of my life by bright eyes.
and really think about it.
how the picking blends together, how the rhythms fall into place, different volume changes, lyrics, overlapping tracks, like that thing in the back that is either a bass guitar or one of those upright basses from orchestra.
and just watch how perfectly the sound blends with all the laughter and smiles going on in your head.
this is how i like to listen to music.
