Merry Christmas everyone! I hope everyone had a happy and safe holiday. I had a very nice Christmas. My family went down to MA on saturday and sunday. My Uncle from CAL was there which was nice because I don't see him often. About twice a year at best. I'm pretty lucky. I was thinking today about how it boarders on excessive how much money we all put into Christmas. I was just looking at the pile of presents before we opened them. I don't need a ton of stuff to be happy. There are countless other people who could use the money spent on this holiday season for basic needs. I also know that I'm probably going to do much about it. I mean I do some community service projects but nothing big or really that effective. I am thankful that I was born into a comfortable family. I'm glad I have people who love me.
This brings me to something else that's on my mind. Next year I probably won't be around for Christmas. I'll most likely be in Wales. I don't know if I can afford a plane ticket home. It's quite expensive. So next year I will probably be spending Christmas alone in Europe. My mother is much more upset about this than I am. I'm not to terribly worried but she is quite broken up about it.
Those were just a couple thoughts running through my head today.
