(no subject)
I am very upset right now. Apparently, the band board of directors has decided to fire our director, Glen, without even considering input from the rest of the band. They haven't voted officially yet, but apparently they already informed him of the decision, and the rest of us found out today through the agenda for the next board meeting that they send out. Whatever. 9_9
You know, I like Glen as a person, and I'm not going to say anything negative here, but this is really messed up. It's like, the board wants us to be some exclusive group that only older people can join. I don't know. The couple of board meetings I have been to, it seemed like they just didn't even really want to hear anything he had to say. But something about band just hasn't been sitting right with me all summer, and I guess I know why now.
In any case, I no longer care that I probably won't be around this time next year any more. If this happens I'll quit at the end of the year. Heck, if enough of us quit, we could start our own band; we'd have at least one instrument from each section anyway!
Ugh. Have I ever mentioned how much I HATE band politics?? I don't have an avatar angry enough for this post. >:(
Between that and trying to find another car, which is not going too well thus far, screw it, I'm getting drunk.
