Ok, I think I figured out how to do this through dialogue without messing around with scripts and scenes. Well there is one short scene I want to do but it shouldn't be too difficult. It won't complete the quest but that's ok for now. It's proving difficult to find any useful information specific to what I wanted to do. I found one thread where someone was trying to do something similar with Thieves' Guild characters but they abandoned it and idk how far they actually got.
It's like people just don't know how to communicate any more. Like all I wanted to do was run my ideas by someone and have them tell me what would/might work and what wouldn't, and NOT talk at me like I'm an idiot. But apparently that's too much to ask for these days. 😑 I'm NOT looking for someone to do it for me either. Like do you want people to ask for help so they can do things the right way or not?? Fine, fuck all of you; I'll just find some other easier way to do it.
This is straight from the UESP lore page about marriage: Couples can marry without the assistance of a priest of Mara as well. Often, this is done by devoting themselves to the Goddess of Love at a Shrine of Mara, where the participants exchange Rings of Mara to seal the wedding before the Divines.
I'll just have to rework and re-write part of it but it's fine. So far what I've got done is working as it should. I think it will be really cool when I'm done.
