testing testing testing...
I'm finally ready to start testing what I'm doing with my mod. One of the things I'm trying to do is dependent on the aurora being out though, which is pretty random and just like in real life is a pain in the ass waiting for it to happen. Like they came out for a few seconds but it was cloudy and then went away again when the clouds vanished. But I think that's going to be the hardest part of this.
So I started another new save, and when I went to get Kagernac's Instant Fortress the fugitive showed up again and got me killed by an ice wolf while he had me trapped in dialogue. The fugitive is permanently on my shit list now; not even the courier has ever done me dirty like that. So the next time I hit him with the shitty iron sword it gave me before he started talking so he ran away, I let the horker that was there fight the ice wolf while I ran to get the Fortress. 😆
Anyway I spent most of the weekend trying out another different mod, the only one I know of that exists that lets you marry Hadvar. I think it's several years old; they used ElevenLabs to voice it but it doesn't sound as good as what I can make with xVASynth. But just to try it out, and I used AFT to bring his whole family to the wedding. It worked, but it got weird when Dorthe kept asking if I could be her mother. No Dorthe, you have a mother; you'll have to settle for cool older cousin. (Godmother maybe? Godparents aren't a thing in TES though as far as I'm aware.) I guess it borrows lines from the orphans with the same voice. 😆 Anyway we'll find out how many people I can bring before the game shits itself. I also had Kharjo and Inigo, and Lydia was there and two other characters I have no idea who they even were.
But I had to go through the entire civil war for that one. I didn't have it installed right at first but then I found out how to do it with Mod Organizer 2. I had Kharjo with me because he's my BFF. After we brought the jagged crown to General Tullius we found Hadvar walking back toward Whiterun. I decided to watch and see where he went; we walked with him all the way back to Riverwood. He showed me an iron ore vein I didn't even know was there, or if I ever knew I forgot long ago because it's not visible from the road. (IOW he went off the road over by it and I saw that it was there.) Anyway we went through all of that, and then I went to buy Proudspire Manor because that's kind of part of it. We had to bring King Torygg's war horn to the shrine of Talos by Whiterun first, and we got ambushed by some Thalmor agents and there was a Stormcloak courier there too. Kharjo and Inigo took care of the Thalmor fuckers while I put an arrow in the Stormcloak and Hadvar ran after him and finished him off. 😆 Never had that before either. But he didn't talk much at all with that one unless I talked to him first. I like the other mod better because it has more talky-talk. Good, that makes my life a little easier anyway.
