one step closer
I finally managed to get this to work right; huzzah!
Click to viewI ended up getting on a Skyrim modding Discord and got some help. (Thanks Reddit!) If I really wanted to I could probably add audio to the "I'll take my chances" line, but I'd have to download like four different voices for it and I'm not doing all of that just for one line. Now on to more complicated things. So much testing, over and over and over and fuck over again. Oh well; I've got fuck-all else to do again for a little while. Last week was pretty busy, and then I got another cold and I don't want to stream until I'm not coughing any more.
Anyway this other Hadvar follower mod has even more dialogue, things I've never once heard him say before in all the years I've been playing with him, but then again I've only ever done the civil war a few times. Like he'll sit and talk to other soldiers we pass by sometimes, and has more specific combat dialogue for fighting Stormcloaks. I like it. ^_^ Once we were walking along by Half Moon Mill and Lake Ilinalta and met another Thalmor patrol; we killed the Thalmor fuckers and he let the prisoner be this time. Then he said "This Imperial armor is damn heavy." Prisoner says "What, you'd rather be plowing a field? Not me. Fight well, or die well" or something to that effect and ran off. O.o So then I thought maybe he'd talk to other people more, so we went to Riften to see if he'd talk to anyone there, and went to get Inigo to see if he'd talk to him but I suspect he only talks to civil war-related people. There was another scene that sort of glitched and I recorded it; I managed to get it to go eventually, but I'll upload that one another time.
There's still another mod I could get just to try out, but I watched videos of it and didn't like it as much, and it doesn't sound as good as what I've made so far.
Time for even more testing!
