I didn't hear anything all day yesterday from the wedding cake people after sending a new contract. The bride and groom wanted to go a size smaller and said they would pay for it, so I reworked the contract and sent it to them. Then I asked for some other opinions because the whole thing was setting off alarm bells. They all said to not do it. Another person and Eric both said I'm probably not the first baker they've pulled this shit with being it's so close to the date. So today I texted them and said I had someone else book that day and they had paid so I needed to cancel. Of course then the gal immediately texted back saying she'd pay, but I said I'm unavailable. Then she goes off on me saying it was unprofessional and a bad business decision and threatening to leave a bad review, blah blah blah. Bitch please, I've been told off by lesser idiots than you. Let's see, a (hypothetical) paying customer vs. a non-paying customer, which is the better business decision? You wanted last-minute samples and a consultation, which I didn't have time to get the contract written up before but all I had to do was tweak it and I sent it the next day; how am I being unprofessional? And then you had the nerve to ask for MORE free shit. What are you going to review, you didn't get your order because you refused to pay??
She's blaming me and her friend for not getting the order done, but it sounds like there was miscommunication between them. Ugh, I fucking hate it when people sit and bicker about who's paying for what. Like just pay me and then y'all can fight about it later, I don't have time for this bullshit. SHOW ME THE MONEY!!!
