It's like selling umbrellas in the desert

It's been busy busy busy around these parts! But I think I'm very close to finishing organizing/decorating my apartment, which is good, and should free up some energy/time for me to focus on other things. Now, onto other things I have done:

1. Marathon watched Dexter & Breaking Bad. Such great shows with such great writing/acting; I'm not fully caught up on Dexter yet, but working there slowly. Sometimes when I'm feeling stressed, I remind myself I could be a criminal mastermind instead, with all the problems and enemies that entails.

Also am about halfway through Band of Brothers. Boy, that's a who's who of fine American and British male actors ages 20-40, isn't it? Michael Cudlitz, Tom Hardy, Damian Lewis--good stuff.

2. Took a class on bartering, which was brief but interesting.

3. Went out to Soho on Fashion Night out, which was quite fun. Met up with an old friend scored a number of free things, including: a Georgetown cupcake (pumpkin spice flavor), a tiny pie on a stick (apple), meat on a stick (steak), a bottle of watermelon flavored water, and some free Bliss products - body butter, samples. So overall: good night!

4. Last but not least, went to see Cirque du Soleil Dralion, which was fabulous. Great costumes, great music, great performers. I love Cirque du Soleil. I'll be seeing another show from them--Totem--in a few weeks, and I can hardly wait!

television, shows, fashion, cirque du soleil, classes, shopping
