It's been busy busy busy around these parts! But I think I'm very close to finishing organizing/decorating my apartment, which is good, and should free up some energy/time for me to focus on other things. Now, onto other things I have done:

1. I went to a real live music concert for the first time in... years. It was a pop/dance music festival type show, with lots of hit artists coming on to do brief sets: Adam Lambert, Enrique Iglesias, Flo Rida, Pitbull, Carmen, and Dev. 1. Went to the Natural History Museum and finally got to see the Creatures of Light exhibit on bioluminescent animals--just so cool. I love aquariums and strange fish and sea creatures deep in the ocean near the abyssal plane, which where most of the bioluminscent creatures in the world live. 1. So I finished my marathon viewing of all the aired episodes of Awake, and I really like it! I've been a big fan of Jason Isaacs forever, and I like how understated he's decided to play his role--there's so much emotional charge and conflict inherent within the very premise of the show that it could be easy to veer off into hammy or melodramatic ( Read more... )

My schedule is finally settling down into a semblence of routine, which I will be grateful for. I like having a fair amount of variance and the unexpected in my life, but I like having that wrapped around a relatively normal set of habits to keep me centered. I love the holiday season, but it's been a stressful one. For one thing, I am busy and perpetually stressed. For another, I am terrified by the prospect of getting the swine flu (which, as you know, is going around major urban centers) so I've sequestered myself in my 1. apartment and 2. place of work.
