1. Got caught up on my favorite comedies on TV currently while on a cleaning spree: Community, Modern Family, Parks & Recreation, & 30 Rock. Now to finally watch Awake and Mad Men and Breaking Bad.
2. Went to see an off-Broadway musical called The City Club which featured great music, pretty decent choreography and set design, and an atrocious plot and libretto. Ah well.
3. I've also been trying out some of the food and drinks at Dean & Deluca lately (expensive, but tasty). The sushi's been decent and is priced similarly to Wegman's, so I've no complaints there. I tried a couple of their juices: Green Blend and Orange Mango. The Green Blend was... odd, but the Orange Mango was a winner. So delicious.
4. I also stopped by the newly opened branch of Georgetown Cupcake in Soho. I tried a bunch of their cupcakes (they have so many varieties!) and enjoyed them. They're all so cute and decorated!
5. On the subject of dessert, I finally got a chance to sample something from the Treat Truck -- a tasty lemon square. Yum.
6. I took a trip out to IKEA mostly to pick up a bunch of RIBBA picture frames in varying sizes (gotta love them for their price points) and tried one of their meals: North Atlantic Saithe, which is a seasoned white fish. It was pretty good--I enjoyed it with my mashed potatoes and chocolate milk. I also took a look at the furniture around IKEA to get an idea of what my future moving and furnishing costs will be. It's not going to be cheap, but with what I learned from my interior design classes, I think I can make it worth. And the instructor's recommendations on furniture from IKEA were definitely spot on, even if I was initially skeptical.
