1. I listed about 30 DVD's for sale on Amazon (including a couple of TV show seasons) and sold 12 of them already. Most of them I'm selling for about $1 + shipping, so with the commission that Amazon takes out and shipping costs it works out to barely a profit. However, my main goal is getting these DVD's out of the house (like everything else, we simply have too many and literally all of these movies have been watched once and only once) so I'm not too concerned. I'm also using up a bunch of tissue paper, packaging, and stickers tha I've been wanting to get rid of, so that is a plus as well.
2. Sales in my
Etsy shop have been slow the past week. I know it's partially because I haven't been listing anything new beyond this one pretty
rose quartz necklace, but I think it might also just be end of February doldrums. There aren't any holidays in particular to shop for other than Saint Patrick's Day at the moment, and I don't have anything Irish-themed or the right sort of green to capitalize on that. I am running a special that will go until Easter where every order gets a free Easter-themed gift, mostly because I have quite a few miscellaneous miniatures that aren't quite old enough to be vintage that I'd like to move out of my inventory.
Ah well. Some weeks are quiet weeks with no sales, some weeks are a flood of sales. I'll give it another week and if things continue this way, will take some action again. In the meanwhile, my listings are still getting a billion favorites and the shop itself has accumulated 61 admirers, so I guess I must be doing something right.
3. Also, the tripod I ordered from Amazon arrived! It comes with its own really handy carrying bag and I must admit, intimidates me more than a little bit. I only vaguely understand how all the levers and knobs work, and there are even some handy leveling functions included within it.
