soft winds and gentle landings

1. More news on the Etsy front: I got listed in my first Etsy treasury list (a seahorse), got invited to join my first Etsy team, and put up quite a few more listings including one for a bulk order of 10 for $20. I was thinking about doing a bulk order of 20 or even 30 miniatures, but I should probably just see whether anyone is interested in the 10 one before I create more listings. The bulk of the listings should be done now, with about 10-20 more miniature types left? My god, there's already more than 50.

As a sidebar, I think my photography skills are improving as a result of all these painstaking little photos.

2. I bought more fabric and have covered more things with them, this time with more success since I have a better idea of what I'm doing. I've learned how to cut in more of a straight line with scissors, resulting in fewer jagged edges and fraying, and have figured how to avoid more raw edges through folding the fabric over. I covered another box, a small tin that I glued magnets to so I can use it to hold pens/pencils on my magnet board, and a folder that actually came out pretty well. Photos below:

I also made some pretty dubious glass marble magnets with space invaders underneath them. One of the marbles popped off a space invader already, but I used industrial strength glue for the magnets, so I think those should be staying put.

And lastly, I wrapped some old canvas panels painted with some of my truly hideous acrylic kid art in fabric, and they look decidedly nicer now. The smallest one (on the left) I want to keep, but the other two I've put on Etsy just for the hell of it. I think I came out surprisingly nicely.

3. Also, my herbs are all germinating and seem to be doing well!
