Well things are moving along and the day that life has really settled down will be here in no time. Derek and I were commenting on how long this transition has taken the other day. It took nothing to get us to Germany but this transition is taking months! But I'm not complaining. Everything has happened in it's own time and things are going well.
I'm working (today) at a waterheater distribution office. It's like working at Dunder Mifflin but without Michael Scott. I like it. I'm the only woman here and all the guys are real laid back and fun. It's an easy work environment. Plus they don't care if I wear my flipflops which are currently the only shoes that don't make my feet swell.
Derek is putting a lot of hours in at Starbucks. As long as he works 160 hours by June 29th (cake) we'll have insurance which will cover all three of us AND the whole labor and delivery hospital bill. THANK YOU JESUS!
In two weeks we drive to Nicholson to get Bella. The silly thing broke her leg over the weekend. Apparently she was bounding around the garden and came in limping. Sharon took her to the vet and they told her that Bella broke one of the two bones of her front leg. So they put her in a cast and she should be healed in 6-8 weeks. God bless her. It's actually really cute. Her cast has her name on it. The only worry is that it won't heal properly and she might not be able to run the same any more.
In the beginning of June Derek goes to New Haven to pack up the rest of our things and get eveything loaded on a moving truck. This whole process is going to cost SO MUCH! I swear, we'll be paying off this move for as long as his student loans! But at least by mid-June we'll be in our own place with our dog and all our things. Life will finally be back to normal. Just the thought makes me want to cry.
Luckily, Mom and Dad are buying us a washer and dryer for Derek's b-day/housewarming. I never thought I would be so excited to own an appliance like that!
