I'm updating two days in a row! So unlike me!

More than anything I'm updating mecause when I sit in a position to type at my desk my back doesn't hurt as much. If I just sit back in my chair I get a terrible knot. Ahhhh pregnancy!

In fact, a lot has happened since yesterday. I successfully completed my first day of temping. I like the office I am working in. It's beautiful with a lot of (clearly expensive) art work. The people are all very nice and there are not too many people running around which makes managing the phones easy. mostly I sit here and read my book and surfing the web. Since Derek and I are still looking for a place to live this gives me a lot of time to search for apartments and townhomes online and to set up appointments/plan viewings.

Derek auditioned at a Methodist Church in University Park yesterday. We are both singing in Sundays service (Bainton's And I Saw a New Heaven!!!) and unless I completely screw up - which, hello? it's church and a piece I've sung before and love - we'll both have a regular church job! The pay is the same as Christ Church so not great but it'll cover our car payment every month. Plus they sing year round where as CC had summers off. Should be a good deal. The funny thing is that the director was a Fulbrighter and he and his wife both studied at the Hochschule in Koln! What a small world!

Derek has an interview in 30 minutes at Starbizzle. I really hope he can get a job there. If he can get benefits we will be set! Normally I wouldn't push him to work at Starbucks (not that it's bad) but their benefits are said to be so great. They should cover the whole family and should cover the hospital bill when it is time for little Zach to join us. If that is the case this will make things so much easier for us. It's hard going through all this business with the knowledge that we might have a $23,000 hospital bill ahead of us.

Tomorrow we are going around looking at some townhomes. I really, REALLY hope one pays off. I just want to know where we are going to be living. Even if we can't move in for another month, it'll just be nice to have a place lined up and not have to worry about that any more. Plus with that and both of us in jobs, most of our searching with be done with. And life can just settle into a groove. I'm lookig forward to that more than anything!
