My sister got me a book for Christmas called "The Girlfriends Guide to Pregnancy." It's all the stuff that you would hear not so much from your doctor but more from a sister or your friends who have had babies. It's a good book but I think the author is a bit cynical.
My sister always said that there are two kinds of pregnant women: Those who love being pregnant and those who do not. I think this woman is the later. I mean, she has valid points but it seems that she has something negative to say about evey aspect of pregnancy. Sure you get bloated, and sick and fat, but look at the end result!
I was just reading the chapter on husnads and how they react to their changing pregnant wives. Perhaps the stories she tells are really what she experienced. More than anything it makes me happy to have Derek as a husband. He has been so sweet and caring since we found out about the pregnancy. He often pops his head into our room when I'm laying down to ask if I feel ok and if there is anything he can get me. He's considerate to my feelings and trys to understand what I'm going through. It's really great.
I was really sick yesterday. At one point I thought I was going to have to lay down in the middle of the Walmart. It's amazing how morning sickness can just hit you. Not only does it feel like you are going to vomit but you feel dizzy and off balance. Blech.
I was pleased to see that Becca and Ashley are having a party tonight. Hopefully I can stay up late enough to go! Regardless, I don't think I'll make it much past midnight!
