Downton Abbey!
I got my friend to watch Downton Abbey! I was over her house the other night, and we were perusing Netflix. I was telling her about Downton Abbey, and she turned her nose up at it, and I had to explain to her that it wasn’t just some stuffy British T.V. show. Then I told her it comes on PBS. That didn’t help.
I forced her to watch the pilot episode, and as we watched I saw her slowly coming around. I had to leave before we could finish, but she did tell me it was, “interesting.” Winning! She sooo loves it.
And this is a young woman who is into action and adventure movies and video games, i.e Avatar, john Carter, that sort of thing. Even my dad watches Downton Abbey. There is just something so addictive about that show. But I can’t quite explain it. Not to mention, it is filled with Leviathan references. :D
I have her hooked. The next step is to get her to watch all of season 1; after that, I won’t have to force her to watch season 2. She needs to watch the entire series. She must!
Now If only I could get her to watch The Kennedys.
