I just moved back home from college for the summer!!!!! Huzzah's for everyone! so in the last episode we have all three kids in the back seat...what kind of hijinks will they get into today in I Read The News Today...only time ( and you reading) will tell....oh and if you like the story rate and you can even message me with plots and bits that you wanna see happen

The car ride to George’s house was a quiet affair until John Decided to have his say. “Johnny are you okay you’re really pale. Do you feel sick?” I mutter from George’s shoulder looking at my brother with apprehension. “A little Jenny,” John said weakly moving his head from its resting spot on the car window to look at me. “But mostly I’m just tired.” John finished while putting his head back on the window. George and I just look at each other worried. “Son, don’t go to sleep,” George said. “You took a really hard hit to the head and I’m worried about it…no John don’t go to sleep.” George said shaking John on the shoulder. John just sat up straighter and looked at us. “ George I think he’s gonna” I get cut off as George scrambles for a plastic bag and sticks it in Johns face before he can bend over losing the meal we had just eaten. I look at John in sympathy smoothing the hair out of his pale sweating face, while George rubs Johns back in sympathy. John tosses his cookies a few more times before struggling to sit up. George saw the struggle coming from John and gently pushed me aside to help his struggling friend up. When John was seated up right and was once again resting his head against the window, he wet his lips and croaked. “Jenny I’m sorry that you had to see that I didn’t want you to I’m sorry.” John croaked over and over. I eventually cut him off saying. “Johnny, I know you couldn’t help it you just got hit on the head really, really hard. It’s expected Johnny, it doesn’t help that we had to move you so soon.” I trail off looking to the front of the car feeling queasy myself. I look at George and I see how pale he’s gotten before I sigh and curl up in my seat, resting my head in his lap. George just looks down at me with a frown on his face before he takes to playing with my hair, smoothing it out of my face.

George looked down to the girl who was resting in his lap, moving her hair out of her face he frowned at her complexion. It unnerved him to see how pale she had grown and feared that she too would throw up before the group made it to his home. Bending down he whispered in the pale girls ear “Jenny are you gonna puke do I need to get you a bag too?” he asked ready to bed to grab the bag to hold in front of her face “No, no,” she answered weakly looking up at him smiling. “I’m not going to puke Georgie, thank you for worrying though.” She finished closing her eyes. Not convinced George prodded the pale girl again “George,” she moaned “I’m just tired please just let me rest” Jenny said turning her head side to side protesting the fact that George wasn’t letting her rest.

John, who had been watching the whole exchange from his spot on the window, finally laughed at George’s worrying like a mother hen. “‘ey then, do you fancy my sister? You’re hovering over her like a new mom.” John joked weakly eyeing George who was blushing beat red. “No Johnny she just got really pale like you did, and when you turned all pale you puked. I was just worried and didn’t want to clean the car after she puked. John gave George a look saying that he didn’t believe the blushing boy one way or another. George just looked at John. John eventually has to break the eye contact that he was sharing with George because the nausea had returned full force. And all John could do was to try to tame his stomach, by swallowing against the nausea, so he didn’t spew all over the car. “John your going all pale again are you okay?” George whispers worriedly in Johns Ear. John just closes his eyes and doesn’t answer, the light from the car making his migraine worse. And the movement of the car making his nausea multiply, stomach rolling and mind throbbing John feared his was in for one hell of a night. George was persistent though and shook John’s shoulder to make him aware that he was being talked to; not liking the fact that John was extraordinarily pale. Almost the color white, George did not know what about seeing his friend like this scared him so much but he only wanted his friend to feel better. John didn’t want to open his eyes yet and inadvertently let out a soft moan, which did not go unnoticed by George. “George I’m not falling asleep” John whispered “And I’m not gonna puke again I just have a mad headache and this car ride is not helping my head at all.” John whispered to the small man beside him, irritation coloring his words. “Well then,” George said straightening up and glaring at the injured teen on the window. “It’s a good thing we are like a street from my house…you’re annoying me.” George shot acidly to his friend before returning his attention to the girl sleeping in his lap.

Now Harold had thought he had seen it all through his life. I mean he had even seen someone being stabbed in the war, and then not to mention everything he saw on his bus route. But seeing someone beat their own children was beyond him. Although technically Mimi Smith was only John and Jenny’s aunt she still took care of them and for her to physically lay a hand on either of them was beyond him. Now don’t get him wrong he believed that you should discipline your children, but never out of anger and never to hurt them. Watching his son take care of his two friends brought Harold a sense of pride, but he didn’t like the color of John. “Maybe,” he thought to himself “Maybe I should have taken him to the hospital, but Louise should know what to do for the poor lad.” Harold thought with a final nod to himself and pulled into his driveway. Louise ran outside and met him when he opened his door. “Harold what’s going on why did you and George run out of the house so quickly? And why did you tell me to fix up the two bedrooms?” Louise questioned her husband not bothering to look in the back seat, as she was fixed on his face. “Lou she beats them. Cor she broke a lamp on John’s head and now he had a concussion I just needed to get them out.” Harold said trying not to raise his voice. “She- she hits them?” Lou asked weakly, all of her fight and anger gone. “Aye love I’m sorry I didn’t talk to you first but” Lou put her fingers up to her husband’s face and said “Love that doesn’t matter it just matters that we take care of them now, they need it.” And with that Lou walks over to John’s side of the car and gently opens the door and holds John up. “Lad we need to get you inside before you catch your death out here.” “George” she calls “Can you manage Jenny inside while your father and I get John into Peter’s room?” she asks looking at him “Yeah mom of course.” She smiles at him and says “That’s my boy, put her in Louise’s room and help her settle, get her something to eat, something soft mind you.”

George just smiles and his mom and prods Jenny “Come on Jenny love it’s time to get up.” He calls to her and smiles at her reassuringly when she stirs. “Come ‘ead love, we are gonna settle you into Louise’s room then ima make you something to eat.” George said while working the girl up to a sitting position.
