more geekery.

It turns out that the subwoofer/amplifier part of my computer speaker system is not accepting the connection to my right speaker, which means that my original diagnosis (cable) was wrong. Hopefully I can get it replaced - if not, I'm going to be shaking some fists and wondering what I will do with a big, fancy paperweight.

Spazz, my laptop, is about five years old, and while it's still in very good shape, the hinge is extremely loose and the keyboard needs to be replaced again. Otherwise, it makes a good secondary computer for the desk. As a result of my wandering eye, I've been drooling over the fancy MacBook. mcsimpson encourages me to get the mid-range one since it's got the same characteristics as the highest upgrade, just not in black. I need to tattoo on my wrist that I should not be tempted with such things and that my first priority should be hightailin' it over to the country house in PA.

Coaster is doing well. After I replaced the RAM in his insides, he's been purring happily like a kitten. I'm hoping that he will stay relatively cold for the summer, since I'm not sure how he's going to like his first summer up in the attic room. However, I've got a fan for him on standby, so I'm thinking things won't be too bad for him.

As an aside, happy belated Canada Day, everyone.
