I knew I could do it. I heard her screams and I was the only one around. I could do it. I just had to swim to get her. I swam and swam. I was halfway there.
But I couldn’t. I got caught in a riptide. Jack had to save me. Damn Jack. I could do it!
He should have left me. Left me and gone to get her. I could have made it back. I could have swam back to the beach.
I run a company! People answer to me. I can do something other than sit on my ass!
