paper smackdown
I had five pages on this paper, and then I asked my professor if I was doing it correctly. He basically said, "uh, not really..." So he explained it to me again and now I'm rewriting. (I really wish this were a regular English paper, it would be so much easier.) I have all the quotes I need, I just need to figure out how they go together, where they should go/what order the themes should be, etc. I have rewritten three pages already and it's so much better than it was before. Don't have a thesis to tie it all together yet, but I figure I'll have a better idea once I'm done. It isn't uncommon to come up with a thesis after the information's been written. I just don't tend to like working that way. Either way, I'm getting all ten pages done today. Even if it's crap, at least the bones will be there and I can revise after. There will be an essay smackdown happening today. Bring. It. On.
