So, umm, yeah. Yesterday I went to Green Bay and got 2 pairs of flip flops and an air freshener for my car. :-D Then I came home and spent hours upon hours trying to figure out how I could get a laptop with everything I need on it for less than $1400. I sacrificed a bit, and all my options give me systems for about $1300. But then with tax, because I live in Wisconsin so they have to charge sales tax, it comes out to $1400-$1500 anyway. Which sucks. I have to figure out what I'm going to do now, because I really don't want to pay more than $1300 total. But I want my pentium 4 with HT (that's hyper threading technology!) and a CD-RW/DVD combo drive and an external floppy drive and a 60 GB harddrive and...yeah.
I got a copy of my class schedule and books today. I have to buy my book for piano, and 2 books for theory, but the rest I can rent. I might buy my elementary harmony book when all is said and done, too, but I already have a (probably) less updated version from Doc. Since he ordered all new textbooks for last year, he let Matt and Brian and I take the ones we used, if we wanted. The problem with mine is that it has no cover and the pages are all falling apart. Because it has no cover. Because all the books were falling apart. I'll see how much money I have and how much I think I'll need it before I buy it, I think.
I also got a better detailed list of what we have to do the first couple days I'm there. I'm predicting it now, those couple of days are going to be cling to the roommate time for me. and the other freshmen in my dorm. Yep.
Now I have to go get ready for work. Whee!! I shall return Sunday night.
Oh, and...I must welcome a couple people to the lj. First, to
puddle_took, who I added because I love her and her writing and she's awesome!! So she added me back. Welcome!!
And then to
grammardance, which is actually Steph in disguise, but not really, so hey Steph! Now you can read my lj on 2 different friends lists!
And I hope everyone has a rockin' weekend. :-)
