Hey babe, I'm right there with you, so much so that I don't really know what to say.
All I know is that when you give your friends your all, and they don't return the favor, you are bound to be disappointed. Yet, in my brief moments of enlightenment, I have realized that it's not their fault. You are the one in charge of your emotions, and you are the only one that can change things. You gotta stop blaming others for your unhappiness (even though that's the easy thing to do) because, let's face it, there's always gonna be someone to blame. But pointing fingers does nothing. (And yes, this comes from someone who is well practiced in everything she is preaching to you not to do.. but that's another story...) Annnyway...
My above rambling is in no way meant to imply that your friends aren't perfectly shitty sometimes (hell, friends down right suck a lot of the time.. hence the saying "with friends like this, who needs enemies?") But maybe it's just a sign telling you that you need to move on.
And I know that that idea is scary as hell. No one really wants to leave the people that they have grown up with... but you must. Emotionally you are beyond them. And you deserve way better.
Or maybe I'm just talking outa my ass. Either way... I'm always there for you. And I always will be. And that's not an empty promise. <3 M
