I like geese. I saw two flocks fly away from an office building's garden earlier this evening. It was twilight I guess. At 5:18 pm. They didn't care about the cars, or the people in the cars on their way home from work. Or the smoke coming from the cars in which the people were. They knew they were leaving this cold, gloomy place soon. They're sick of waddling clumsily on the ground and eating people's leftovers and trash. In a few weeks probably they'll be spending their winter in some tropical island.
Because they're so populous in North America and they don't give a flying fuck if they're landing on a secluded forest clearing or the middle of a park in downtown Chicago, Canada Geese have been considered pests, pretty much like pigeons and gulls. I don't see why they should be seen that way, however. For all we know, they're just hanging out here so they could find a steadier supply of food. They don't really want to stay here for this long. They'd rather be chilling on a beach, where it's warm, and where everyone loves them.
