and the words are all escaping me
I could talk about work but I feel like if I start I won't stop and it's just so...weird. So fucking baffling. Maybe at some point I'll end up writing about it here, but it's just so...weird.
Anyway, it was fucking freezing this morning - 15°F with a wind chill that made it feel like 4°F - so of course the bus went out of service at the stop before mine. I mean, the next bus came so I was only standing outside for 15 minutes, but it was a very very cold 15 minutes. Why no hot flashes in those conditions, huh? Why when I'm in bed at 3 am and not when it would be useful to suddenly feel like it's 100 degrees out even though it's clearly not? Ugh, bodies. Weather. All of these things are vexing me lately. I treated myself to a hot chocolate on the way home tonight, because it's cold out and I deserve it.

summerstorm asked, Favorite place you've lived, been to, and want to go?
I've only ever lived in NYC so it is my favorite! I really don't want to live anywhere else, but the winters are starting to really get me down. This apartment used to be my favorite, up until the various calamities of the past couple of years (a ceiling collapse, a bug infestation, some annoying plumbing issues, some annoying heating issues) have made it more like the place I want to leave but can't quite make it out of yet (the fact that there have been 0 rent increases the past two years is what made me stay - I'm not a person who likes to move so I will stay in a place until it basically needs to be set on fire to get me out of it).
Favorite place I've been might be the US Virgin Islands, though I would like to go back to both New Orleans and San Francisco for vacation rather than work purposes. I'd like to go to Italy most, I think, at this point. Doing a UK & Ireland trip would also be great. I've never been to Europe at all, so that's definitely on the bucket list, though who knows if I'll ever manage it.
