Ugh, I lost my metrocard and work ID this morning. I carry them in a little credit card wallet (really, it's a business card holder but repurposed) separate from my real wallet, or I did, anyway, until I lost it this morning. Had a week left on the metrocard, too. Sigh.
As if the commute isn't hard enough without music. This ear infection thing really screws things up! I mean, on the plus side, I can't hear anything, so I'm less bothered by annoying people having loud phone conversations on the bus (WHY? WHY DO PEOPLE DO THIS?), but not having music is just terrible. I don't like it at all, no sirree bob.
Speaking of music, I made something of a controversial declaration last night to a couple of people (who didn't necessarily agree), and I'mma share it with you now:
"Under the Sea" is the best Disney movie song. Not only is it full of clever fishy wordplay, it has steel drums. I am uncool enough to unironically love steel drums. The happiest of drums, as per
devildoll. The mere existence of this song puts a smile on my face. You could argue for "Be Our Guest" or even "Let It Go" but you'd be wrong. I am just saying.
Come at me, bro. What do you got, a lot of sand? We got a hot crustacean band. Everything's better down where it's wetter, take it from me!
