i seem to be coming out of my skin

Yesterday, work was unexpectedly busy (nothing like getting a project that you were told would be coming to you on 3/31 on 3/17 with a request that it be finished ASAP) and then my commute home was...Listen, I know that on St. Patrick's Day, the crosstown buses all take detours and service is weird etc. but there is NO EXCUSE WHATSOEVER for the fact that SEVEN buses went west on 79th Street while I stood at the stop on 79th & Broadway (i.e., the second stop on the route east), and not one came back east for FORTY-FIVE MINUTES. I arrived on the bus stop at 5:45 as a bus had just pulled out (I know, because I pulled out my phone to check my email), and the next bus didn't come until 6:30 pm. And an MTA employee across the street could offer no help or explanation, just a "what are you gonna do?" shrug. Thankfully it was relatively mild out and it wasn't raining, but what the fucking fuck?

But it's Friday, so I'm going to try to be less irritated. Though we are possibly getting 3" of snow on Sunday (maybe as much as 6"? Maybe just cold rain? Who can say? Nobody knows!) which will make Monday's commute awful. Sigh. I'm looking forward to my four-day Easter weekend next week, though, and no one can take that away from me.

In other news, I've been so tired and discombobulated all week that I missed Tuesday's episode of Brooklyn Nine Nine, so I watched it and Jake & Terry teaming up is always hilarious, but that whole Boyle + weird guy subplot didn't work for me, despite Gina being amazing. I would have liked more of Holt, Rosa, and Amy with the bomb defusing class. *hands*

I also understand there was a new episode of Star Wars Rebels this week, but I didn't remember it was on (I thought it was going to be a repeat), and my DVR didn't record it. Given what I've read about it, though, I don't seem to have missed much.
