feeling nothing now, just following my fear

I just couldn't muster up the interest to turn the channel (not that the Rangers/Leafs game was all that exciting, except for poor Ryan McDonagh) so I didn't watch last night's Legends of Tomorrow, I just saw the final stinger before The 100 started. CONNOR HAWKE?! AND THEY DIDN'T WHITEWASH HIM? I mean, he's supposed to be of mixed race (Oliver's his dad, but his mom was African-American/Korean, iirc), but in the comics most of the time you can hardly tell. I will definitely have to tune in next week!

The 100: Hakeldama
I think the main takeaway of this episode (and the show on the whole sometimes), is DON'T LET THE MEN BE IN CHARGE. THEY ARE TERRIBLE AT IT.

Also, and this is an unwise, unfortunate writing issue that's going to reverberate all season: Bellamy, what the fuck? Like, fine, you have a legit personal issue with Clarke leaving you to hold it together after Mt. Weather when you were just as fucked up by what happened as she was, but that has NOTHING to do with ANYTHING ELSE. And the characterization was SO WEIRD. Like, okay, I guess Bellamy was undercover in Mt. Weather so he missed the cooperation that sprung up last season between Skaikru and Trikru, but what the fuck was his nonsense with Octavia? And it's not like he doesn't know they went too far. Who the fuck kills 300 sleeping people, INCLUDING THE WOUNDED, and then interns the sick people THEY INVITED IN FOR TREATMENT IN THE FIRST PLACE? WHAT THE FUCK?

On the other hand, Clarke, seriously, what the fuck? Peace, yes, I get wanting peace, but I don't see how even the most peaceful people could accept having 300 of their people betrayed and slaughtered! Blood must have blood indeed. Like, I love that Lexa is a visionary and she wants to change, wants to not be at war all the time, but I don't know how you attempt to make peace with people who are bound and determined to kill you unto extinction for existing in your own space that they invaded.

And yes, I see the various real-world parallels they're going for, but I'm not sure it's working as intended. Certainly not without a lot more buildup for Bellamy and the Ark folks. It's like they don't remember what happened last season. Or even last week! I mean, Clarke is clearly okay with Nia being killed to avenge the loss of her people in Mt. Weather. And I'm sure she'd be okay with taking Pike out on his own, or at least attempting to bring him up on war crimes charges in front of the coalition, where he'd be sentenced to death and maybe they could move forward. But I don't see how that can work. I don't know. I do like how messy and complicated it is, even though some of the behavior is uncharacteristic and unbelievable.

I did enjoy Clarke and Octavia working together (also Clarke, Octavia, Lexa, and Indra deciding the fate of the world together! ♥), and Abby and Kane leading the burgeoning underground resistance to Pike. And Miller's on their side!

Jaha, meanwhile, wanders ever closer to Jesus!Baltar territory. Oh Raven, don't fall for his nonsense! He does bring an interesting new wrinkle to Arkadia though. And it looks like Murphy's going to be dragged back into it to. How cute are Murphy and Emori, bandits in lust? (How am I even saying that about Murphy? What a long strange trip that's been.)

So that was exciting.
