let the good times all roll out

Meh, slept poorly last night and woke up an hour before my alarm went off, so I'm sandy-eyed and just trying to get through the day to my three-day weekend. Flu shot this afternoon. Yay?

NLDS TONIGHT. LET'S GO METS! I can't help but think about how my mother would be so excited, especially for David Wright. (And she'd probably call Harvey a dumbass, which is not unwarranted. Sigh.) I don't know that I expect them to win this series, but they need to at least win one game in LA, though I'm not sure how against Kershaw and Greinke. Hopefully DeGrom and Syndergaard bring their A games.

I haven't watched yesterday's Steven Universe yet, but I did watch Sleepy Hollow. Why can't they just give us 45 minutes of Ichabod and Abbie being ADORABLE ROOMMATES (WHO SOMETIMES DO SEX)? I mean, I also enjoyed Jenny and Joe, though I find it hard to believe he was so easily kidnapped. Dude was a Marine! But whatever, bring him on board, I like him better than most of the other new additions they've tried out. Betsy Ross is terrible. First of all, ICHABOD IS MARRIED IN THE PAST WTF. Like, his whole thing was being devoted to his wife but now we're supposed to pretend that didn't happen? So he can flirt with Betsy Ross? On paper she sounds like a character I'd really enjoy, but oy, the actress is completely unconvincing. She's much too modern and just... blah. No good.

Also, I'm confused about Abbie's new boss/love interest (ugh, can we not with that?) - were they in the police academy together? Because otherwise, how does that even work? I thought Abbie was just out of Quantico, not that she'd gone and then decided to be local law enforcement instead. Come on show, please pay attention to your own details!

I'm not even touching the ridiculous secret wraith thing - like, the one creature Pandora calls up is the one whose name Ichabod knows? Also, if the secretary gave her statement to the police/FBI, then it's not a secret anymore so why is the wraith still after her? Also also, could they have gone with a less sexy - and yet absolutely believable - secret than some civil servant embezzling pension funds?

I did enjoy Ichabod's outrage at yet another apothecary being put up! No more Duane Reades/Walgreens/CVSes! There's one on practically every block! Though I honestly don't understand how that building wasn't already declared a historical landmark. I mean, come on. Otoh, maybe this will end in A GREEN CARD MARRIAGE FOR ABBIE AND ICHABOD. MARRIAGE OF CONVENIENCE BECOMES A REAL MARRIAGE. PLEASE SHOW, GIVE THIS TO ME. I'VE BEEN A GOOD FANGIRL.

So there's that.
