I guess it wouldn't be remix if I weren't spending the Saturday before the archive opens frantically writing a pinch hit.
Last night, I dreamt that I was Chris Pratt's assistant and I was helping him and his tv wife (not his real life wife) open wedding shower presents. I woke up and thought, I WOULD BE SO GOOD AT THAT JOB. CHRIS PRATT PLEASE HIRE ME TO OPEN YOUR PRESENTS. I SWEAR I WILL SEND YOUR THANK YOU NOTES OUT IN A TIMELY FASHION. (note: I have never managed to get any thank you notes I've been required to write on my own behalf mailed, but for a job? No problem.)
In other news, Alyssa and I have decided that if the Harry Potter play comes to Broadway, we'll see it together. Also, she's old enough now (she just turned TWENTY FIVE. HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?) that I have no qualms about throwing her into a fannish mix if that happens. (When she was 13, not so much, but now? She's an adult. I mean, I don't approve of this growing up business, but apparently I don't get a say.)
Congratulations to everyone who can now get married anywhere in the US (and Mexico). Also, thankfully, SCOTUS also upheld the ACA. And the NYS Assembly renewed the rent regulations for the city. Apparently government does occasionally still work.
Otoh, I'm sad about Carl Hagelin being traded. I knew I should never have even thought about him being my favorite non-Lundqvist player. I knew it and I thought it anyway! Bah.
