I was going to write about SHIELD, because there were a couple of things I actually liked in last night's episode, but then it devolved into a rant about what I didn't like and how BOBBY DRAKE, FORENSIC ACCOUNTANT would be more entertaining to me than SHIELD is right now, and I figured nobody else was interested in reading

Frankly, I would watch the hell out of a show about forensic accounting, it's fascinating. Sadly, it would need a truly excellent writers' room to pull it off instead of making it a 'random people and a bucketfull of paperwork/computer screens montages' kinda deal, so I'm not actually hoping for one, but damn, would I love to see it. And while Bobby Drake has his moments sometimes, Emma Frost for a kickass forensic accountant, played by Beyonce. It could still even be SHIELD--say, that bad guy they've gone to Malta for, why not pull an Al Capone and have him brought in on taxes instead? Upside: a likely asset forfeiture, which could fund the repairs for the Helicarrier the next time it crashes.

Oops, that got away from me a bit. But I'm not getting my kicks out of the show, so now anytime I hear a good idea for how it could be better, I can just hear Adele coming on in the background, we could've had it all...!

I only picked Bobby because he's an accountant in the comics. Or he used to be, anyway. Who knows anymore?

I still want Beyonce to play Starfire in a Nightwing/Starfire movie. Sigh.

But yeah, I hear you. I just don't understand how SHIELD is SO BORING. Like, I wouldn't even care if it was bad if it was entertaining, but it's just not.

Tricia Helfer/Mark Blucas is a very bizarre-feeling mishmash of dear old fandoms. I didn't know Blucas was even still acting.

Blucas has been in a few things. He's not a bad looking guy I guess, but he doesn't do it for me the way Trucco does.

Longmire actually gets really good as progresses. I was pleasantly surprised by that show.

And I don't understand how SHIELD is so unbelievably boring. Omg. That kind of boring takes effort.

I've heard good things about Longmire and I liked the first two episodes, but it's so sloooooow that I have a hard time sitting still watching it, but I do plan to eventually!

I don't know! Boring, clunky, and cheap-looking! I just don't understand it! I feel like it can't even just be corporate interference because I can't believe any of this was every really sharp or well written before Disney (or Marvel or ABC) execs got involved.
