As I told tumblr last night, yesterday after YET ANOTHER visit to the eye doctor (my eye is healing nicely, btw, and now I have new glasses on the way), since it was only 4pm, I decided to go get my hair cut. As you may or may not know, my hair can take 2-3 hours (once as long as 4, iirc, but that included a double process of dying out the gray and ( Read more... )

I think you're right -- "nice" wasn't exactly what Joan should have been going for. I think she really should have said, "Don't be an asshole to people," and that would have covered it nicely in terms Sherlock might have accepted.

(Although you gotta admit, that one detective kind of deserved it.)

The thing that struck me more about that scene was that Joan *knows* Sherlock is capable of some serious sociopathic behavior -- look at what he did to the guy he thought was Moriarty -- and while Sherlock referred obliquely to it in one scene at the police station, it was like Joan had completely forgotten. Maybe she thinks he's matured past that and was kind of surprised when the behavior happened again. I don't know. Either way, I think they're setting us up for some major sociopathic behavior again once the Mycroft secret is revealed.

If they don't give Felicity fighting lessons at this point I'm gonna be cranky. There's this tiny hope that this will motivate her to train and eventually become the BLACK Canary (since so far Sara hasn't taken the full name) but I'm pretty sure that's me dreaming. It doesn't really make sense for her to take it but it'd make it that much closer to comics canon which would be happy making for me. Even though I don't read DC comics.

I would love for Thea to get involved in all of this as well.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who felt for Laurel in this ep. I also found Amell's responses to her to be the most connected and reactive that we've seen between them.

I'm going with Lazarus Pit. Also, I have unofficially started shipping Felicity/Oliver, which is a problem for me because Stephen Amell appears to be actively trying not to have chemistry with Felicity (did Botox freeze his face or something?), but whatever. SHIPPIN' IT.
