I missed out on the first iteration of the words and deeds meme before it closed, but
kate_nepveu is continuing it here, and my thread is here.

I caught up on Arrow and mostly what I want to say is ♥DIGGLE♥. Also, they either need to do something interesting with Detective Lance or kill him off, because he is a drag. Also, also, the sooner they just up and admit Felicity Smoak is Oracle here, the happier I will be.

Speaking of the Arrow fam, I really liked Saturday's Young Justice ep. ♥ARTEMIS♥ She's so awesome, you guys! I could have done without some of the voiceover, but I really loved how great she was at thinking on her feet to keep herself, Kaldur and M'gann safe. Also, I don't trust that Green Beetle at all. I want Jaime to learn to control his scarab himself! I want the "First to have a name, first to have a friend" moment for him and Khaji Da! It makes me sad to think we won't get that on the show.

The worst thing is that no matter what they do - and this goes for Arrow, as well - is that no Deathstroke is ever going to live up to Teen Titans Go Deathstroke (i.e., Slade) and it makes me sad. But even though Artemis has kind of gotten Rose's storyline (and hair), sort of, I am hopeful Rose will show up at some point. Unless the show gets canceled. I don't understand - if they showed the show consistently, I'm pretty sure it would be fine ratings-wise, but no, it's just jerked on and off the schedule with no reason or warning, so I'm not surprised it's in danger of cancellation. [eta] Apparently it's not just in danger; it's been cancelled. Fucking Cartoon Network. *grumble* [/eta]

Also, I don't even watch Green Lantern: The Animated Series, but I've seen the ending of the past couple of episodes while waiting for YJ to start and just from those brief moments, I was shipping the Red Lantern dude and the robot lady, and then they KILLED HER OFF AND SHE DISINTEGRATED IN HIS ARMS. WTF? THAT IS NOT OKAY.

And then there was last night's Elementary. CLYDE. ♥ That's not a huge honking metaphor for Sherlock and his relationships, huh? I really like that they didn't have Gregson forgive him, even though he reinstated him. They can work together but Gregson doesn't have to trust him, not after the shit he pulled. I LOVED that Gregson didn't let him off the hook, even while Joan did. (I don't think the therapy sessions are necessary? I think it's too much spoon-feeding where none is necessary.) I also loved the gradations - Bell has no fucks to give about Sherlock beyond his being useful, so of course he's all right with working with him (and he had the best line of the night with "It'd be easier to fire him if we ever paid him."), Joan is doing her own compromising (that will probably end up being fraught and complicating) by lying about staying with Sherlock, and Gregson is just straight up hurt. The Napoleon on the wall of crazy was pretty funny. As was Joan's fear that Sherlock might actually make soup out of Clyde. There was a case, and that was pretty funny, too, but obviously not why I watch the show.

I am really glad it's Friday. I am going to sleep ALL THE SLEEP this weekend.
