the right notion in the meantime

So I think I'm mostly prepared for Sandy? I mean, I would like it to be severe enough to get a day or two off work, but not severe enough to actually knock out my power. What are the odds of that? But my flashlights work, I have extra jugs of water, and tomorrow morning I'm going to make bread and a couple other things that don't need refrigerating to eat so I should be okay. And I have a gas oven, so I should be able to cook regardless. I hope.

In other news, I had the sort of day where everyone on the internet was WRONG and it took real effort not to tell them so, so after I did my shopping and some cooking, I mostly just read and caught up on tv shows:

Arrow
Ollie's bodyguard, Dig, and Ollie's inappropriate chemistry with his 17yo sister are the best things about this show. Though I also enjoyed Laurel beating up that guy. Hopefully she'll be kicking bad guy ass more regularly sometime soon, possibly with the help of the blonde in glasses from Queen Industries IT department, who had ORACLE written all over her even if she wasn't a redhead. Jesus. Why can't the show be about her and Laurel mentoring Thea into being Speedy?

The Good Wife
♥DIANE♥

Fringe
Well. I did not expect that. Through the whole thing my fear was that they were going to kill Broyles. I did not expect Etta to die. I don't know if I believe she's going to stay dead, or if they're going to manage some sort of reset. And that kind of omnipresence is what I expect of these observers as bad guys, which I still don't really buy in terms of what we learned about them earlier. Also, re: next week's preview, I admit I got teary-eyed about Etta's death, but I could not care less about Peter going all Batman about it. I don't understand why the writers keep mistaking Peter for the main character of this show, but they've done it every season and it hasn't worked yet, so hopefully they aren't making that mistake again.
