Last Resort: Voluntold
Okay, so mostly I've discovered that I don't care a lot about most of the characters? Which is unfortunate, because I want to be more engaged in this show than I am, but THEN they lower the boom with Andre Braugher giving a speech about loyalty and dissent and how your choice shows who you really are, and I AM SO THERE, YOU GUYS. That was indeed an act of salesmanship - as silver-tongued and thieving as ever moved used cars, Florida swampland, or Bibles. The illusion of free will, masterfully played.

Elementary: Child Predator
Well, that was a decent twisty-turny episode, and I really loved how Holmes has come to the slow realization that Watson is indeed the boss of him, despite all his talk about their relationship being a one-way street, and when he talks shit at her she's going to call him on it and expect him to do better, and he actually makes an effort to do so! ♥JOAN♥

I started writing something this morning and I actually feel a little embarrassed and squirrelly about it! That NEVER happens anymore! So I think I'm just going to put it aside for a while and see if it's because I'm writing it at work (it's unrepentant porn with no actual plot), or if it really is too id-tastic even for me. Which. Is really saying something, all things considered.

Meanwhile, I think I've found a way to make movieverse Steve/Peter work, because they should absolutely have fumbly awkward hot guy makeouts. (I'm still figuring out how to write comicsverse Steve/Peter, which requires less work in some ways, given Peter's obvious mancrush on Cap. And the fact that Peter's an adult and doesn't have to be aged up a little to make things make sense. I don't have a problem with 25 year-old Steve and 17 year old Peter, per se, but I feel like Steve would have trouble with it, so. Timeline shenanigans ahoy!)

It makes me kind of sad that there are only 4 Steve/Peter stories on AO3, and NO Steve/Carol stories. I see that once again, I am going to have to write it if I want it to exist.

My life, so hard.

Meanwhile, the Bucky POV Steve/Bucky story that sat for months untouched on my hard drive has suddenly blossomed into 3500 words and now I just need to figure out what happens next. Mostly my plan for this story was:

Step 1. Steve rescues Bucky.

Step 2. ???

Step 3. MAKEOUTS.

I think you see the problem with this plan. Sigh.

WRITING, WHY SO DIFFICULT? I JUST WANT TO LOVE YOU.
