Spider-men #4

OH MY GOD PETER PARKER STOP MAKING ME SOB LIKE A BABY ALL THE TIME. I HONESTLY CAN'T WITH YOU. I HAVE LOST ALL ABILITY TO CAN IN YOUR VICINITY.

So 616!Peter goes to see Ultimate May and Gwen (since Miles appears to know them, I'm guessing it takes place after last week's Ultimate Spider-man, and so far ultimate!Cap hasn't gotten Miles killed, so that's a win) and I basically bawled my face off. Peter spends some time with them, but only sees MJ from a distance, which is sad in its own way - and then Nick Fury takes both Peter and Miles to Tony to figure out how to send Peter home. I like that Miles got to contribute (and I liked Fury's thing about having made ult!Peter promises he couldn't keep and his gentleness with Miles because of it), but oh, my heart, Peter and May and Gwen. *gross sobbing*

I also finished reading The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie this afternoon. I enjoyed it, though it was a little long-winded, and I didn't really believe Flavia was only eleven. I'll probably pick up the second one eventually, because 11 year old girl genius sleuths are thin on the ground these days, but it didn't have the charm I was hoping for.
